Ken has always had a passion for technology, broadcasting and the Internet. Originally from Vancouver, he completed the BCIT Broadcast program in order to realize his broadcast aspirations. Starting at CKVU in the 70’s, CBC in the 80’s and CTV in the 90’s he worked as an Audio engineer.
After purchasing professional sound equipment in the mid 90’s, Ken traveled the world to apply his skills as a freelance sound recordist – recording sound for documentary, film and industrial videos. At the same time, he developed computer graphic and web coding skills concentrating on new website development. By 2002, he had completed some 60 plus websites, most of which were hand coded.
In 2002, Ken changed his focus from sound to full time web development – building an additional 30 plus Content Management System (CMS) based websites using Joomla and WordPress.
After meeting Annie Zhou, Ken co-founded BeeLinkt Marketing Inc. to educate others about social network marketing and how company’s can create success through social engagement marketing, online reputation management and social media maintenance.
When he’s not at his laptop, Ken loves to travel, explore new ideas and read spy adventure books. Just don’t tell him the ending of the story … he can never read the last page of a good book first.
Annie loves social media and social network marketing. With a background in retail and customer service, she knows the importance of creating the right customer experience. Annie will be your company representative online – improving the experience for others and addressing concerns before they become major issues.
After completing a BCIT Tourism Marketing Management Program in 2010, Annie transitioned into the Social Media Certificate Program from the University of British Columbia.
Annie is expressive, authentic, empathetic and analytical – with a drive to understand how companies and customers interact. She has the ability to analyze social interactions and audit them to identify and improve efficiencies.
Like Ken, Annie loves to travel and can be found listening to an eclectic mix of rock and pop when she’s at work. Annie is multi-lingual … she speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
